Alex Paterson is YouTube’s Civics & Podcast Lead for Canada, working with government and politics creators, while also growing YouTube's podcast business in market. Previously, he led Google Canada's Brand & Reputation marketing team, was Executive Director of Canada 2020 (where he launched the 20/20 Podcast Network and co-founded Training for Progress), worked at CBC News, and for Greenpeace Canada. Alex holds degrees from Western and Carleton Universities, sits on the Ontario Educational Leadership Centre board, and lives in Ottawa with his family.
